The Soundcore Flare is an amazing value in the sub-$100 wireless speaker segment. However, you can stretch the battery life by disabling the light show entirely. With the LEDs set to medium intensity and listening at 50% volume, we managed to get around 8 hours. There’s slight distortion so those who like to listen to music loudly will want to invest in a larger speaker.īattery life is rated at around 12 hours and will depend largely on volume level and the brightness of the LEDs. Similarly, highs are a bit uncontrolled and sound harsh at times, especially at high volumes. With the Bass Up feature enabled, we find the Flare produces slightly more bass than the UE Wonderboom but both lack the visceral impact that larger speakers provide. That being said, for its size the Anker Soundcore Flare can get loud and produces admirable bass. In fact, all of the EQ presets are quite subtle, shifting the tonal balance of the speaker slightly. One caveat, though - you can only control playback through iTunes. And on the next page, you'll read more about what it takes to get data flying at your own Apple AirPort.Ĭlick to play a song and your tunes will crank through your big stereo speakers. Their portability means just about anyone can set up a wireless base station anywhere they need it. Yet both the Express and the Extreme are rather tiny by traditional router standards. It measures 6.5 inches (16.5 centimeters) square and 1.3 inches (3.3 centimeters) thick. It also has multiple antennas, meaning it can send and receive data simultaneously for faster transfer.Īs such, the Extreme is a bit larger than the Express. The Extreme has other features that make it valuable to power users, including not one but three LAN (local area networking) ports. Those increased speeds, of course, make it a lot easier to send the image- and sound-laden multimedia files that have become staples of both personal and business correspondence. The current unit substitutes an 802.11n chip for the older 802.11g, meaning it's roughly five times faster. With that increase in capacity, the Extreme was suited for small- and medium-sized organizations of all types.Īpple released an update to the Extreme in 2007. It featured all of the same capabilities of the Express, but instead of maxing out at 10 users, it supported up to 50. The company unveiled the first Extreme in 2003, and as with the Express, it used an 802.11g chip. For power users, Apple also unleashed the Airport Extreme, which takes the Express's concepts and beefs them up significantly. The Express isn't the only AirPort in town. And if you're on a Mac, built-in Bonjour capabilities mean users on the network can easily find one another to share pictures, videos or any other kind of data. Plug it into a printer via the USB cable, and presto, any of those 10 users is able to print documents wirelessly. Security-wise, you can set the Express to use WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) or WPA2, 40-bit or 128-bit Wireless Security (WEP) and MAC address filtering.Ĭonnect AirPort to your DSL (direct subscriber line) or cable modem, or your Ethernet network, and it provides wireless Internet access for up to 10 users. It's also compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems. Its small form factor means the Express slips neatly into the side pocket of even a svelte laptop carrying case. That's a lot of features for a device that's only 3.7 inches (9.4 centimeters) high by 2.9 inches (7.5 centimeters) wide and 1.1 inches (2.8 centimeters) thick. 12/15/2023 0 Comments Smallcubed mailsuiteAny combines the Preferred and the In Use lists. In Use show any keyword that has been used whether they are on the Preferred list or not.Preferred show only keywords from the Preferred Keyword list.To see keyword lists, switch between the various keyword groups (Keywords and Labels) by clicking on the name for each group, Group lists can be combined by holding the shift key and clicking on multiple keyword groups.įurther change the Keyword list displays by selecting from dropdown menu options of Preferred, In Use, Any or Recent. Head to their website and send it off to "Contact Us" and let them discuss. We don't know enough about cephalopods and elasmobranch yet for this place to claim justification for the volume level and constant rhythm of the sound around their residence. Please consider joining the Tune That Crap Down Brigade by also writing a review. I asked her "This music must be tough to deal with daily." Only then did she drop her smile and lean in with a soft spoken "You have no idea." CONSERVATION. The gift shop young woman was kind and cheerful. I asked them questions that were not on the simpler side (I SO know my stuff) and they answered to my satisfaction. Jeff was my moon jelly guide and, acoustic horror aside, was wonderful. You know how you just know something? I just know they all need raises. The staff I spoke with were clearly suffering from the droned garbage blaring through the speakers ahead and are dedicated, all the same, to the conservation message an Aquarium is obligated to carry. Hats off and waved in the air to the Aquarists. (Sometimes I do.but here.I just wanted to go somewhere else, quieter, to get a real drink.) NOW.Here is what is GREAT: I can clearly see the animals are well taken care of. Instead, some corporate decision was made (I imagine them mouth breathing), that The Denver Aquarium collects only those that want to pretend they have a Margarita in their hand. To a habitat I will never live long enough to truly understand. The restaurant soundtrack screams, as well. A clear miscalculation regarding people willing, without complaint, to pay the entrance fee. Damn.) Someone who gets paid way too much money in a corporate office at this aquarium has set the bar very low for our public sense of wonder and desire to experience these animals. (This band has the word "Beach" in their name. is seasoned with the constant overhead whine of the "My Balls are Pinched in a Vice" vocals of the Beach Boys. What could be a magical moment of connection between my species and a separate nation of creatures so few of us acknowledge with proper consideration. And the absolutely ridiculous and somewhat insulting repetitive "Tiki Bar in the 60s" looped music blaring over the Ray touch tank. I could have enjoyed it even more and given this clean, beautiful institution five stars if it wasn't for the absolutely ridiculous volume level of the completely unnecessary "Yanni on shrooms" soundtrack upon entrance. I was tempted to click three stars because two poor choices need to be changed for the public enjoyment of everyone and possibly the health of certain animals.but I want to be fair and, overall, I did enjoy my visit. 12/15/2023 0 Comments Adobe premiere pro export mp4Vimeo uses some unique calculations to determine the available playback qualities for your video. We encourage you to see Adobe's export tutorial at ' How to export and share video'. Plus one on the new monitoring setup for HDR media if you are working an HDR timeline.Adobe Premiere Pro is a popular video editing program and can be used to prepare your video for upload to Vimeo. I've got a couple FAQs that go into more detail on what's changed, how to work within the new system, and where it's broken at the moment. And some things aren't working as the engineers expected, but though they've acknowledged and are working on things, we haven't a clue when the next step of changes will be dropped. Yea, the underlying color system of Premiere 2022 is totally different. Then you should be able to export with any of the standard presets. Now click on your timeline panel, go to the Sequence Settings, and make sure the timeline is set to Rec.709. right-click/Modify/Interpret Footage and set the CM section at the bottom to Override to Rec.709. So leave it at SDR/Rec.709, and life is easier. There isn't much use of HDR at this time. Radeon Pro 555X 4 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MBįor starters, set the iPhone default so it doesn't shoot HLG for now. Anyone have any ideas? Screenshots attached. But I cannot understand why this is happening, and it's a pain to have to go throug that extra conversion process. My workaround for now is to export as a Prores Quicktime, and then convert the QT file to H.64 MP4 so the file size is more manageable for internet disribution. However, if I clicked the "Match Sequence Settings" box at the top under Export Settings, it would output correctly. So I imported my CFR footage in ProRes, and everything cut together fine.īut then when I went to output the finished product in H.264 (for viewing over YouTube, Insta, etc), I saw in both the Premiere export window and Media Encoder that the footage was WAY overexposed (pic atached). While Handbrake forced me to convert to H.264, Shutter Encoder allows me to convert to ProRes 422 LT (as well as tons of other codecs). Since I can no longer work with H.264 footage, I switched from Handbrake to Shutter Encoder to convert my VFR footage to CFR. I've still not figured out why that is that case. Even though I had upgraded to a faster processor with twice the RAM, I quickly discovered that my new system could not deal as well with the H.264 footage as my old system could. This month I upgraded from a 2014 MBP (16GB, OS Mojave) to a 2018 MBP (32 GB, OS Catalina) and from CC 2018 to CC 2020. Then I would edit that H.264 footage in Premiere CC 2018, export it as a H.264 mp4 file, and everything was fine. My workflow in the past has been converting the variable frame rate footage to a constant frame rate H.264 footage using Handbrake. 12/15/2023 0 Comments Used toyota rav4 lunar rock
12/15/2023 0 Comments Write offs for 1099 employeesIs it true you pay more taxes as an independent contractor? And even if you didn’t receive a 1099 for your work, you’ll still need to report and pay taxes on your self-employment income as long as you’re past the $400 threshold. Regardless of what types of income or 1099s you receive, you’ll need to report it on your federal tax return. (You can read more about the difference between these forms in our guide to the 1099-NEC vs. This is the form most freelancers and 1099 gig workers get - though if you get paid via PayPal or other electronic platforms, you might get a 1099-K instead. Instead of putting income from contract work on form 1099-MISC, the IRS created form 1099-NEC, which stands for “Nonemployee Compensation.” However, the 1099-MISC has been repurposed to cover only miscellaneous income, such as rental income and legal settlements. The most common version of a 1099 used to be the 1099-MISC. When we talk about “1099 income,” what we mean is self-employment income - named after the form that independent contractors get from clients. (That’s true of all self-employment income, whether it’s a part-time side hustle or a full-time career.) The difference between a 1099-MISC and a 1099-NEC So why only $400 for freelancers and contract workers? It’s because self-employment earnings get taxed differently than other kinds of income. That’s about $12,000 if you’re single and $25,000 if you’re married. Why 1099 workers start paying taxes at $400įor most people, taxes only kick in if you earn more than the standard deduction. You can avoid paying quite a bit of tax on your freelance or small business earnings, but you can’t wriggle out of it all. If you make more than $400 as a self-employed worker, you’ll have to file taxes. Yes, you almost always get taxed on your 1099 income. 12/15/2023 0 Comments Hotel indigo athens poolWe needed an escort to the room ro the room. Why only a 3 point rating? Well, the hotel lost power after a storm and could not make our room keys. Based upon the decor and function of the room, a 5 point rating is worthy. The hotel is LEEDS Gold (I think they topped off the rainwater collection last night with the storms). The bathroom was very large and nicely designed. The bed was excellent and the pillows were good. Our room was very spacious with a modern flair. The hotel is stylish and very well-appointed. Overall, the friendly staff, great tv channel selection, eco friendly touches, and decent fitness room helped to make up for some of the other areas that were lacking.I booked this hotel based upon Trip Advisor recommendations months ago in preparation for Freshman move in at UGA. I'm hoping it was mainly a fluke as the hotel seemed very busy. All of these things were minor but added up over our 3 day/2 night stay. Almost two hours later, housekeeping finally arrived and cleaned up the room, but when they took the trash out, they forgot to put the trash can back, so we went without a trash can for our final day (I didn't feel like hassling with getting another one after how long it had taken housekeeping with the other things). I called the front desk to request a refresh and was promised that they would send someone up. So when I came back later in the afternoon, I was disappointed to find the room exactly the same. The second day we were there, I saw housekeeping on our floor and just assumed that they would refresh our room (make the bed, take out the trash). The bed itself was pretty comfortable and the tv had a ton of channels, so both of those things helped outweigh the other things. I know that this happens from time to time at hotels and that it's not cost effective to replace everything with stains, but I just expected a little more from a nicer hotel. The room was nice for the most part, but the floors were pretty dusty (though I did like the "hardwood" look), one of our coffee mugs had a lipstick stain on it, and the comforter had a few reddish, brown stains on it. It wasn't a big deal, just a little annoying. Stefanie at the front desk was very nice and friendly, but it took multiple calls to her and from her to housekeeping to finally get the refrigerator to our room. Before we arrived, we requested a mini refrigerator and were told to request it again at check-in, which we did. That being said, there were definitely some things that I felt were lacking and was a little disappointed in. The location was great, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the hotel itself was modern and nice and had quite a few eco-friendly features, which I liked. We were both looking forward to staying at this hotel because it was so highly rated and the location in downtown Athens looked great. My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Indigo in Athens while he was in town for a work conference nearby. I would definitely come back, even without the spectacular upgrade. Located an easy walk to the restaurants of downtown Athens, as well as the university. The lobby is really nice, with lots of local art and a spacious feel, places to get snacks or a drink or a meal, and always super friendly and helpful people on duty. But for people who don't get this kind of an upgrade, the hotel is still great. But then we arrived and discovered that the upgrade was actually to the Presidential Suite!!! with a pool table!!!! and a bathroom the size of my freshman college dorm-a tub that could accommodate two or three people, a shower that was even larger-pretty amazing. So I was inclined to feel positive toward them. My great experience with the Indigo began before I even arrived, calling and emailing the hotel with questions (many of the rooms don't have bathtubs, and I wanted a tub-could I do that while also using my IHG points for a room?) which were resolved quickly and cheerfully (sure, book the room and we will upgrade you to a room with a tub, problem solved). 12/14/2023 0 Comments Stardew valley wikiPrices Seed Prices Base Sale Price PropertiesThe item ID for Rhubarb Pie in Stardew Valley is: 222.
